What is EFT Tapping Therapy &
How does it work?

EFT Tapping Therapy Explained

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT Tapping) can be used with anything you might bring to counselling. It is a powerful way of including the mind-body connection within therapy, and in my experience helps to speed up the process.

EFT Tapping means there is more flexibility in how much (or little) of your story you would like to share in session. This is because change can be come about with using fewer words.

As a bonus, it will also provide you with a practical tool which you will be able to use yourself whenever you are feeling stressed.

What does EFT Tapping Therapy do?

EFT Tapping helps to regulate the nervous system, supporting it to shift from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic nervous system. This allows other systems within the body to function as they should, such as the immune, digestive, endocrine, and reproductive systems.

There is a theory in EFT that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. The disruption can be caused by a traumatic event, or the memory of that event depending on how it is experienced. Tapping helps to clear the disruption and realign the energy system.
